Sergei has been a Director of a GIS Center of Excellence at George Mason since 2003. He is currently teaching a set of graduate GIS classes in a Graduate Certificate in GIS program. His interests include: GIS, Remote Sensing, environmental suitability and modeling, geostatistics, soils.

Bill has been a professor at Virginia Tech since 1983. His interests include GIS and wireless telecommunications, the use of the computer to manipulate, store, and provide data on demand, and GIS as applied to teaching and learning of both basic and complex geographic principles.

The GEP’s mission is to facilitate the development of geospatial products and services at all levels across Virginia. The GEP has developed customized curriculum to support cost-effective training and workshop venues. From Jan–June 2004, the GEP provided educational venues for ~500 Virginians

Dr. Prisley worked for more than 10 years as a GIS manager for forest industry before joining the Forestry faculty at Virginia Tech. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in GIS.

Will is the Environmental Technology Coordinator for CES-VCU and has 8 years of experience using GIS. Will has been an ESRI Authorized Instructor since 2001 and has instructed over 200 students. He has a Master’s of Science from VCU. The Center offers many courses in GIS and other technologies.
